COMING TOGETHER:
The Dave Wade Memorial Golf Outing and
Loving Arms Awards Dinner raised over
$250,000 thanks to our Abbott House community.
Special thanks to our Gala Emcee, Blaise Gomez
of News 12 Westchester, who courageously
shared her personal journey of being in foster
care. Her story inspires others to open their hearts
and homes to children in need.
RAISING FUNDS IN
CREATIVE WAYS:
Artist and Donor Annabel Romero donated
100% of the proceeds from the sale of her
artwork at various markets and exhibits, from
the Greenburgh Artists & Crafters Market in
Westchester County – all the way to Japan!
The Rivertowns Chamber of Commerce hosted
an online auction via Instagram showcasing
unique items from its members and donated 50%
of the proceeds back to Abbott House.
Pickle for a Purpose, a club led by students
Sophie Moussapour and Aaron Weinberg at the
Masters School, combined a passion for pickleball
with community service. The two organized an
exciting tournament with their peers to raise funds
for the Abbott House holiday drive.
Morgan Stanley employees participated in a
teambuilding ‘Game Night’ to support Abbott
House, raising over $1,800!
CREATING ENRICHING
OPPORTUNITIES:
Students at Abbott House enjoyed two
memorable field trips to Cabbage Hill Farm in
Mount Kisco and Longhaul Farm in Garrison,
thanks to our community partner, Something
Good In The World. They interacted with various
farm animals, including sheep, chickens, pigs, and
cows, and connected with Guatemalan livestock
farmers, the native country of several students.
Students also picked fresh flowers and herbs from
West Africa, learning about sustainable farming
and agriculture in a hands-on environment.
Lyndhurst Castle welcomed Abbott House
staff members and their families free of charge
for Sunset Jazz performances overlooking the
Hudson River in support of our agency’s wellness
initiative.
